Engineering Alumni

Welcome to the ANU Engineering Alumni web page
The purpose of the Alumni is to:

  • allow Engineering graduates to keep in contact with the ongoing activities within the Department
  • allow members of academic staff to keep in contact with graduates allowing feedback to the current undergraduate program
  • allow Engineering graduates to keep in contact with each other


The Engineering degree program at the ANU is still relatively young, having been established in 1991. In its initial years the broad based interdisciplinary systems engineering approach taken in the course was seen as a new and radical departure from the traditional discipline based degree courses on offer. However, the need for such a degree program is now being recognised by industry and academia at large. This is evidenced by the success of the graduates from the program in obtaining wide and diverse appointments both within Australia and overseas. Graduates are employed in diverse discipline areas from telecommunications to mining and automotive to (of course) systems engineering.
